I like the idea of built-in WiFi (as against taking up THE slot); I was happy with T3 RAM size and 512MB SD card (though, 4 GB extra, OK, don't really object to it); the windoze software enhancements seem like a good idea (I use mainly a windoze PC to sync, to take advantage of various Palm apps that only support HotSync (rather that pilot-link)) -- Voytek From marklist at healeyonline.com Wed Jul 6 14:41:08 2005 From: marklist at healeyonline.com (Mark Healey) Date: Wed, 06 Jul 2005 11:41:08 -0700 Subject: I ask again. Where do I get roms? Message-ID: <42CC25C4.4010203@healeyonline.com> I installed prc-tools and downloaded PalmOS412_Rel Roms.zip. The problem is that it only covers the Palm IIIx, Palm V and Palm Vx. These are pretty privative devices. They don't even have color. I'd like to get the rom images from a bunch of more current devices. All the links on the Palmsource site are either dead or take me where I've already looked. Does anyone know where I can get them? -- Mark Healey marklist at healeyonline.com From hacker at gnu-designs.com Wed Jul 6 15:10:55 2005 From: hacker at gnu-designs.com (David A. ROMs for OS5 (color) devices do not work in POSE. Sorry. > Does anyone know where I can get them? The only place you can test PalmOS applications on "newer" devices is to use the Palm Simulator, which requires Windows. Running it on wine doesn't work at all, even with significant hacking.
